Sharon Millar is a graduate of the Lesley University MFA program. She is the winner of the 2012 Small Axe Literary Competition and the co-winner of the 2013 Commonwealth Short Story Prize. Her work has appeared on several short lists including the inaugural 2013 Hollick Arvon Caribbean Writers Prize for Fiction.

Her short fiction has appeared in Granta Online, Small Axe, Draconian Switch, and is forthcoming in Pepperpot-The Best New Stories from the Caribbean, a pan-Caribbean anthology of original short stories culled from the very best entries to the Commonwealth Short Story Prize. She lives in Port of Spain with her husband and daughter and is currently at work on her first novel.
